North County Guide

There is not a huge selection of hotels in this part of the city as most folks prefer to be right in the centre. The two hotels that we have selected both offer a pretty good standard of accommodation, are reasonably priced and allow reasonably good access to the city & airport by bus, taxi or car. (The DART does not operate out to the airport)

The Skylon Hotel is the best value in the area if there is more than one person in your party. They have room rates from Euro 100.00 Per Room Per Night. Their rooms are mostly doubles & twins with a limited number suitable for triple occupancy. Breakfast is extra.

If you want to be as close as possible to the airport terminal, the 4* Clarion Hotel Dublin Airport is the best option. The rates are all room only, but always a great rate - following in the tradition of the Clarion Brand.

Overlooking the beach and set in splendid surroundings is the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links. The house was originally owned by the Jameson family, famous for their Irish whiskey and has been tastefully converted to an international hotel with the grounds now hosting a magnificent 18 hole Bernard Langer-designed golf links. The golf course and the Portmarnock Golf Club (our neighbours) is laid out on the classic link's landscape which once formed part of the old Jameson Estate. The hotel is only a short drive from the airport and is located just 11 miles from the capital city.
