Cork city is a bustling city and many locals claim Cork is the real capital of Ireland!! Moving further West, Kinsale is a popular resort town, steeped in history and today a thriving seaside town.

West Cork is another short trip along the coast; here you will find some of the most spectacular scenery (and weather) in Ireland. Heading East from Cork city you will encounter Ballycottonn, Shangarry and Midleton.

A trip to Fota offers something for all the family. Opened in 1983 on Fota Island, Fota Wildlife Park covers more than 200,000 square metres (50 acres) of mature grassland, with ostriches, giraffes, kangaroos, zebras and antelope all roaming freely and the more scary animals securely fenced in. Our favourites, though, are the inquisitive ring-tailed lemurs. Say Hello for us.

But take time too for a tour of Fota House with its magnificent arboreum and gardens.

The English Market

One of the oldest markets of its kind in the world, The English Market is a delight for shoppers and gourmands alike. It's been serving the people of Cork in its beutiful setting since 1788.
